mentiras tão grandes

For the homecoming to Greece, the centre of our attention and the measure of comparison will remain the athlete, the individual, the team. Noble competition will inspire the athletes to excel in each of their endeavours, and thus to oppose their human abilities to the massive dimensions of the Games. The Olympic Games are the arena where human abilities are demonstrated and acknowledged; an inspiration that encourages and empowers each of us to pursue our ideals, high as they might be.

Xiii… Que mentiras tão grandes!
Era mesmo bom que tal fosse verdade, pois seria sinónimo de que vencer garantia o aprumo e melhoria da raça humana. Que os vencedores levavam tudo. Que o numero um ganhou a todos os outros, que iguais a ele disputaram.
Era sinal de que evolução era o caminho. “Kaizen” na sua significância máxima. Aperfeiçoar, pois perfeito é igual ao momento de aproximação a zero.
Não. As mentiras também não são grandes. Elas sempre foram assim. Na igual proporção da ignorância, ganância e numero de pessoas à face do Planeta Terra.
Como tal, hoje temos as mentiras do doping, dos falsos primeiros, segundos, terceiros e sortudos quartos. Com barrigudos e orgulhosos países organizadores, sacos azuis e muito mais.
Esta é a parede que nos separa da realidade que fede. Como as paredes que aprisionam, viciam, e fazem parte da vida dos presos de Stephen King.
Já não conseguimos viver sem estas estúpidas ilusões. Mesmo quando elas nos são oferecidas com as piores maquilhagens e disfarces.
Como por exemplo o caso da… do… Sei lá, do nosso Primeiro Ministro por exemplo.
O rei vai nu, pessoal! O REI VAI NÚ!!
